Heating Directions
Note: The following contains general guidance for preparing our items to enjoy; should you have a specific question or suggestion, please do not hesitate to call us at (615) 352-0296 or email us at greatfoodtogo@comcast.net. The final results of cooking and heating are dependent upon many variables (e.g., position in a conventional oven, microwave power/intensity, and temperature of item prior to heating). Because such variables complicate our ability to offer ideal directions for every situation, be sure to always use your own best judgment.
-
For black-bottom containers:
-
If microwave is preferred, our recommendation is to remove the food (i.e., place on a glass plate or in a glass bowl) and warm for 2-3 minutes (with the microwave set to the "high" setting).
-
If conventional oven is preferred, remember that black-bottom containers CANNOT under any circumstance be placed in an oven; contents must always be removed from the container, placed in an oven-safe dish, and warmed at 350ºF for ~20 minutes.
-
-
For aluminum containers:
-
Everything in an aluminum container (Beef Lasagna, Shepherd's Pie, etc.) can be placed directly in a conventional oven (having removed the plastic top, of course) and warmed at 350ºF for either ~25 minutes (small container) or ~35 minutes (large container).
-
Never place aluminum containers in a microwave oven.
-
-
Chicken Pot Pies
-
Small: Heat in oven at 350ºF for ~20 minutes
-
Large: Heat in oven at 350ºF for ~40 minutes
